The Story Behind The Bronze Project

When my father passed away, I wanted to commemorate his memory in a way that felt meaningful and lasting. The only option available at the time was a memorial bench. My dad spent countless hours sitting by the beach with the car window down, soaking up the sunshine. It would have been the perfect place to honour him.

When I enquired about placing a memorial bench, I was told there was no availability and that the waiting list exceeded fifteen years. There was no opportunity to share an existing bench either, as privacy restrictions meant I couldn't contact current bench holders. It left me wondering why it should be so difficult for people to leave a lasting memory in the places that meant the most to those they loved.

Not long afterwards, I visited the UK and was inspired by bronze installations and their ability to blend naturally into the landscape while standing the test of time. Bronze had a remarkably low environmental impact compared with many traditional memorials, requiring virtually no maintenance whilst lasting for generations. It sparked an idea — what if people could create their own personal messages of love, remembrance or celebration, beautifully cast in bronze and placed in gardens, parks, woodland walks, family homes and other meaningful places?

As I returned home to Jersey, the idea continued to grow. I realised this wasn't simply about memorials, or even about Jersey. It was about creating a timeless way for anyone, anywhere, to celebrate life's most meaningful moments. Whether remembering someone special, marking a milestone, celebrating a new beginning or creating a unique feature for a home or garden, every piece could become part of a lasting story.

And so, The Bronze Project was born — creating handcrafted bronze pieces that honour memories, celebrate milestones and leave legacies, not just for today, but for generations to

Meet Georgina – Founder & Bronze Artist

After spending many years in corporate life, I discovered a passion for creating meaningful pieces that connect people with places and memories. Every commission is personally designed, cast and finished with care because I believe stories and loved ones deserve to be remembered.

The Craft

As I immersed myself in the world of bronze casting, I quickly discovered that traditional foundry methods could be both expensive and inaccessible for bespoke commissions. Wanting to make handcrafted bronze more personal and attainable, I began combining traditional casting techniques with modern 3D design and printing technology.

This approach allows every commission to begin with your story. Each design is carefully developed, refined and approved before being transformed into a handcrafted bronze piece using traditional sand casting methods. Every casting is individually finished and hand polished, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Bronze itself is an extraordinary material. It has been used for thousands of years because of its exceptional strength, beauty and longevity. It naturally develops a rich patina over time, requires very little maintenance and blends effortlessly into its surroundings, making it the perfect material for creating lasting memorials, celebrations and bespoke commissions.

By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, The Bronze Project creates timeless pieces that are as individual as the stories they represent—designed to become treasured keepsakes that will endure for generations.

"Every commission begins with your story, and ends with a legacy that will outlive us all."
